Cookies and storage
Root & Wire sets no cookies, and nothing on it tracks you between visits or across sites.
What the site stores on your device
No cookies. The pot chooser keeps nothing. The grow simulator keeps your design in the page address, not on your device. It stores one small note in your browser's own storage, saying you have finished the first-visit guide, so the guide does not come back; it holds nothing about you and is never sent to us. If you change Your climate, the units or the shop, those choices are kept the same way, on this device only, and are never sent to us. Until you change them nothing is kept beyond the visit. For the visit itself your browser's session storage holds the two-letter code of the country you connect from, so the page asks only once; closing the tab removes it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Sending a design to the gallery stores nothing on your device either; the form sends the design and your display name to our server once, when you press the button.
Optional things
If we ever add something optional that stores information on your device, it will be off until you turn it on, and this page will say what it is. There is nothing optional today.
The law
UK rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) require consent before storing anything on your device that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for. These notes are the only things we store. Each one follows from something you did, except the country code, which lasts only for the visit and is there to show you a shop you can buy from. This page says what they are and how to remove them.
